One Time Phenom Matsuzaka to Start for Salem Tonite

Daisuke Matsuzaka, who last year had a phenomonal season, is set to start for the Salem Red sox tonight. The Salem Sox, who made the playoffs on the last game of the season, are set to send injury-plagued Matsuzaka to the mound to kick off the series. Hopefully, if all things go well for the Japanese pitcher, he can come back and pitch (hopefully), and if the Sox make the playoffs (which they will), hopefully they can get him on the mound for them, and we all hope he returns to his Cy Young-worthy form.

WHAT I THINK: I think that if all things go well, he should be called up, maybe make a start, or even pitch in the bullpen. If he returns to form, he can pitch in the place of either Buchholz, or even Byrd, who though it is late season, has contributed to the Sox. Another thing, I hope they win so they can move on in the playoffs. But looking ahead, Matsuzaka should not pitch in the next WBC. It could affect his season.
